I have loved this holiday. I took Swallow out sailing a lot. We also went sailing at the mouth of the Helford. That was great fun. The beaches and coves were also really good.

I have really enjoyed this holiday. My favourite bits were crabbing off the end of the quay and having a campfire on Kennack Sands! I have really loved this holiday and I hope I can come again.

We have visited the Helford River many times but this, our first time at BQ, has surpassed any other visit. It is idyllic. Ben and Kate have looked after us so well – Ben – thanks for the “Seaside Rescue” and ongoing repairs. Kate – thanks for the wonderful cakes, flapjack, home from home + the guided tour of the estate. It is like no other place we’ve ever been to. Thank You.

A Home from home, a truly special place, hosted by such a warm and welcoming family. Not to mention the delicious eggs, and cakes made by a master baker. We feel privileged to have stayed. Thank you. It has even moved us to poetry for the first time in thirty years! (As well as just messing around in boats!)

Our second visit to Bishops Quay and it has been just as special as our first! This place is a real gem – we absolutely love it! F has especially enjoyed “messing about on the river” in the kayaks and E has enjoyed catching crabs. J and I love the view and the peace and quiet. Once again we have so many happy memories – thank you, Kate and Ben for making this such a special place to stay.

"Halo!" This was Max’s cry early every morning to enjoy the fantastic view to the Helford River. The first time in the UK – the first time in Cornwall: we appreciated the warm welcome (flowers, cake) and felt at home from the first second in this hidden place. It won’t be the last.

A first visit to Bishops Quay. A beautiful place to stay in peaceful surroundings. George (the spaniel) has loved his riverside walks each morning.
