Consultations

Initial consultation
The purpose of the initial consultation is first to decide whether psychotherapy or counselling would help the client, and then to agree on a course of sessions. If necessary, Patricia can help the client find a more suitable person, such as a psychiatrist, cognitive psychologist or other professional. The initial consultation takes between one and one-and-a half hours, and can usually be arranged to take place within a week.

Further consultations
Further consultations normally last 45 minutes. They will take place regularly over an agreed period, which could be as little as six weeks or more than a year.

Where
Consultations take place in a quiet room in a private setting either in Queens Park, North West London, or in Cavendish Square in Central London.

How to get there
Queens Park: 5 mins walk from Queens Park Tube station on the Bakerloo Line. There are also many buses from Central London.
Cavendish Square: one minute away from Oxford Street tube station and 5 minutes from Bond street tube station.

When
Sessions will usually be at the same time every week - weekdays, evenings and occasional Saturday mornings - to suit individual needs.

Cost
There is a flat fee of £80 for the initial consultation. Further sessions are on a sliding scale between £40 and £65. A number of special low-cost spaces are reserved for students in full-time education and the unwaged.
