Consultations
Initial consultation
The purpose of the initial consultation is first to decide whether psychotherapy or counselling would help the client, and then to agree on a course of sessions. If necessary, Patricia can help the client find a more suitable person, such as a psychiatrist, cognitive psychologist or other professional. The initial consultation takes between one and one-and-a half hours, and can usually be arranged to take place within a week.
Further consultations
Further consultations normally last 45 minutes. They will take place regularly over an agreed period, which could be as little as six weeks or more than a year.
Where
Consultations take place in a quiet room in a private setting in Maida Vale / St John's Wood, North West London (close to Abbey Studios and easily accessible from the West End).
How to get there
Underground: Maida Vale underground station on the Bakerloo line, and St John's Wood on the Jubilee Line - both are about 5 minutes' walk. away.
Bus: Several buses run to and from Central/West London and the West End. Buses run along Maida Vale and Abbey Road.
When
Sessions will usually be at the same time every week - weekdays, evenings and occasional Saturday mornings - to suit individual needs.
Cost
There is a flat fee of £80 for the initial consultation. Further sessions are on a sliding scale between £40 and £65. A number of special low-cost spaces are reserved for students in full-time education and the unwaged.
