Qualifications

Patricia has nearly twenty years’ experience as an analytical psychotherapist, working with adults and young people, both in private practice and in counselling organisations. She was born in France. She is a graduate of the Sorbonne and a member of Pembroke College, Cambridge.

After working in industry for some years, she received analytical training in Paris and at the Philadelphia Association in London. Having run a therapeutic residential community for over four years, she is used to working with people in severe mental distress. She is also trained to provide short-term counselling and was a student counsellor at Cambridge University for eight years.

For several years Patricia has been supervising therapists and counsellors in training, also providing coaching in writing essays and dissertations. She teaches psychoanalaysis at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation and at the Philadelphia Association.

Patricia is registered with UKCP, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists. UKCP-registered psychotherapists are fully qualified and work to a strict code of ethics and practice. As a safeguard for clients, practitioners are required to re-register regularly to ensure that they maintain their professional standards.

She is a member of the Association Mondiale de Psychanalyse (AMP).
