On 2nd November she sang The Lord’s Prayer by Michael Head in a special Stewardship Service. Along with a number of Catharine’s other pupils, Judith sings in the Bach Choir whose next concert will be on Thursday 27th November at 7.30pm at the Royal Festival Hall, a celebration of music by Howells and Vaughan Williams. As a recommended singing teacher to members of the PHILHARMONIA CHORUS Catharine, with her husband Adrian, is to be a guest at the first collaboration of the chorus with London Lyric Opera. It will be a performance of Wagner’s Der Fliegende Hollander at the Barbican Concert Hall on Thursday 27th November at 7pm. See www.londonlyricopera.com. JUDY BOOTH alto, DAVID PEDDY tenor and JAMES WIGRAM baritone are soloists in the Christmas Music from Handel’s Messiah on Sunday 30th November at 6.30pm at St. John’s Wood Church NW8 with the St John’s Wood Chamber Choir and instrumental ensemble conducted by Michael Cayton. EMMA SPARROW has a repertoire of music to sing at weddings and on December 6th she will be singing O Holy Night by Adam in a candlelit service in a church in Gloucestershire. MATTHEW RHODES has been studying singing regularly with Catharine for over five years. He sings a wide recital repertoire to which he has now added the tenor role in Handel’s Messiah. He is now working on J.S Bach’s Magnificat in D. Enquiries 07771 568670. UGOCHI ONWUANIBE (13 in January) plays the piano and clarinet and has singing lessons with Catharine. She sings in the Chamber Choir at the North London Collegiate School as well as a wide variety of classical music and music theatre in her lessons. Don’t forget ... THE LONDON ORPHEUS CHOIR CHARITY CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERT in aid of Phab Wednesday 17th December at St. James’s Church, Piccadilly at 7pm. MASTER CLASS for new pupils. In 2009 Catharine will be planning a Singing Day for new pupils with a Master Class for 6–8 singers in the afternoon, followed by tea and an informal concert when they will be joined by more experienced pupils to sing to friends and family.
