To get to the city centre, take a bus or the Metro. Cipro-Vaticano Station is a 5-minute walk. So are the shops, post office and supermarket.
There's a daily market in Via Andrea Doria selling fresh fruit and vegetables and other goods. Also within easy walking distance is Via Cola di Rienzo with smart shops for clothes, shoes and leather goods.
