Who we are
Susannah Ross is the author of the Writing for the Web (Chambers Desktop Guides 2007) and has run courses in Web writing for the BBC and other clients for more than ten years. She also works with the commercial writing company Clarity, running training courses and looking after the website. Susannah was a BBC journalist for 20 years and, as Deputy Editor of World Service News, was responsible for recruiting and training journalists. She does most of the editorial work in Select Ideas.
Julia Swann runs a computer consultancy, Second Power, which specialises in computer training. She advises clients how to create presentations, use images and build databases. She spent ten years as IT Manager at a research consultancy in Covent Garden, managing the firm's IT and supporting and training some forty staff. She has more than thirty years' experience with computers, has done research into the adoption and impact of IT in the UK office sector and is a qualified teacher. She is responsible for the technical side of Select Ideas.
