Juliet Harmer trained as a primary school teacher at Homerton College, Cambridge, specialising in Art and Drama.

After working as a presenter in BBC schools television and after a successful career as an actress, she subsequently moved to the Cotswolds to look after her young family and concentrate on her painting.

She had originally planned to become a botanist but realised she wanted to combine art with working with children. Read Juliet's Wikipedia entry to find out more.

Juliet has written and illustrated several children's books including The Magic of Herbs and Flowers (MacMillan 1980).
