In the nearby village of Mawgan there is a Spar shop, which is open until 8pm every day. Delicious organic vegetables, fruit, and hot pizzas and pasties can be found at the Gear farm shop, just up the hill. A local cook can deliver prepared meals to order, if you prefer.

South of Mawgan stands Trelowarren mansion, offering a bistro, craft centre and exhibitions by local artists, all set in glorious grounds - within comfortable walking distance or a five minute drive. Helston is the nearest town, with a market and two supermarkets. For golf, nearby Mullion has a links course and there is a short course at Helston.
